Welcome!

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:8-10 [NIV]

Welcome!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Feel free to take your shoes off, pull up a chair, take a couple of slow deep breaths, and visit a while!

I am SOOO excited that you are here! There’s nothing like genuine hospitality, where you feel like you’re free to be yourself, because you are loved. When I was young, I couldn’t wait to jump out of our car and run up to my Bigmama’s house. My folks could drop me off any time, as far as I was concerned, because at my grandma’s is where I got my best spoilin.’ She gave me the first drumstick out of the oven and sometimes she took my turn, when I was supposed to wash dishes. (I smile just thinking about it!) More than that, Bigmama was always there for me.

In a time, in my culture, when children were to be seen and not heard, my grandmother treated me like I was worth her time. She listened to me as though what I had to say was important to her. (And you know how hard it is to find a good listener!) She looked at me with such love that I could hardly wait to sit at her feet and hear her talk. The subject didn’t matter. She’d smile at me and talk about how bright my eyes were. I’m sure that my eyes were shining. Little one’s eyes usually do when they’re listening intently to someone they love. That’s the kind of atmosphere I want to create with this site.

When my nieces and nephew were small, they couldn’t say ‘Auntie Alice’ so they called me, T’Alice. I loved the name they gave me, but more than that, I love my nephew and nieces. I think that everyone needs a T’Alice or a Bigmama who loves them so much that they are willing to share what they’ve learned about life, in order to pave the way for the next generation. I think that God wants me to be that kind of person.

Every time you visit, I hope that you will feel God’s love and my love as well.  I’ve been waiting to share with you my journey of walking with Jesus Christ, and the lessons God is teaching me. He has helped me to make wiser decisions and has shown me how to appreciate and enjoy my relationships. By focusing on Christ, His Word, His character, and His love, I’m learning everyday how to have peace in my life, and to recognize and experience God’s love.

I’m beginning to really enjoy the journey!

I hope that you will too!

See you next time!

Love,

T’Alice
