What Does God See When He Looks at You?

Do you feel like you’re walking through a desert of indecision? Is there someone special in your life who’s approval you are constantly trying to gain? Do you allow the  opinions of others to weigh heavily on your heart? Do you value their view of you more than your own? Is there a prerecorded loop of your shortcomings playing repeatedly in your mind?  Well, what our Heavenly Father sees when He looks at you is the most important viewpoint you can ever have. In the final analysis, His perspective is the only one that really counts!

What does He see when He looks at you?

It’s probably not what you see when you look in the mirror, but it should be!

  • He sees your life overflowing with abundance.
  • He sees you as his servant… His friend.
  • He sees you as a light in the world.
  • His light… shining brightly to lead those in darkness to Jesus Christ.

You may say, “What are you talking about? That’s not me at all! The thing about God is He sees your beginning and your end, the finish line. He knows the end of the story, and considers it already done. The second half of the 17th verse of Romans 4: says that God is “the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.” God sees what He is doing and going to do in your life. He sees His Word, which He carefully watches over to perform… in His timing, not ours.

He sees you as healthy and whole.

He sees you as forgiven.

He sees you as highly favored.

He sees you as protected by His angels.

He sees you as anointed, empowered to accomplish His will.

He sees you as a prisoner of hope, incapable of staying depressed and living defeated.

Believe me, God sees you always abounding, being successful, in the work of the Lord!

God sees you confident, sure-footed, able to walk into a room and impart or share wisdom that will solve problems. He sees you as someone who doesn’t complain, grumble, nag, criticize, or judge. The Almighty sees you filled with patience, kindness, self-control, faith, joy, peace, gentleness, mercy, forgiveness, and love. If you are married, He sees your marriage as being strong, healthy, and vibrant. Why? Because He sees the results of two people placing their relationship in His hands.

 What does God see?

God sees you as someone who speaks life and encouragement. He sees you as a great listener, someone who is respectful, respected, and honored. Your Heavenly Father sees your children as obedient, saved, mighty warriors of love. He sees His Son and the blood that He shed for your sins on Calvary that you may have a new beginning, and become a new creation, with all of the old failures, mistakes, and sins passing away.

  • He sees you as saved, victorious, capable of doing all things through Christ who strengthens you.
  • He sees you as an ambassador of peace.
  • He sees you as righteous (in right standing before Him) because if you are saved, you are connected to Christ and His righteousness becomes your righteousness.
  • He sees you as His child, precious in His sight.

For this reason, since we are His children, whatever He sees in us, we want to see.

Whatever He says I am, I choose to say.

I will choose to look at my past through lenses of gratitude, seeing His goodness and mercy following me. I’ve decided that I’m going to wake up every morning with God’s mercy, His chance to do better, think better, and love deeper in my sight. I will look for, even expect His favor in my home and on my job because I trust in Him.  I will see opportunities to join Him in loving others unconditionally.

Today is the perfect day to speak God’s Word, for it heals, saves, restores, builds, creates, and it delivers. Therefore, I am making a conscious effort to forget what the world says I need to do, what I need to have, what I need to say, and how I need to think in order to enjoy this journey. Instead, I am focusing my eyes on God’s Word. Everyday, I get up reminding myself that I am expecting God’s power to overflow into my life, changing my vision and perspective, and producing love and good works everywhere I look.

I’ve already seen His Word overshadow, outshine, outclass, outdo, surpass the meaningless, materialistic, sex-driven, manipulative lifestyle that the world says that I must have. I’ve discovered that God’s Word will overhaul relationships. It will overtake, go beyond, anything that you can think or dream.

It will take you by surprise!

God’s Word will outperform anything, because He watches over His Word to perform it. Keep your eyes on God’s Word. Write it on the tablet of your heart with your mouth.

See the invisible; see the possibilities. Stand firm, see what He sees, and say what He says. Your life will never be the same.

My friend, what do you see? What do you say?

Until next time, may your heart be a reflection of God’s Word.

Enjoy the journey!

About Administrator

I'm more than half of a century old! That sounds 'cooler' than saying I'm in my fifties! LOL My husband and I have been married for thirty plus years and have a son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. I'm surrounded by a loving Christian family: mom, dad, sister, brother and their families. I love to garden, draw, paint, read, sing, compose, and work with young people. On the other hand, I also love to spend time around the 'young at heart.' I love to have fun and to laugh. I try to make the most of each day and enjoy it in God's presence. I love performing random acts of kindness to brighten someone's day! I'm learning how to be at peace with the unique person I am and to appreciate the way that God has made me. Hey! It's all a part of the journey!
